Mill Meadow to host

Games

Moyola Park’s impressive new ground the “Mill Meadow” will play host to two games of the UEFA Women’s Champions League Group 7 Mini Tournament which is being held in Northern Ireland from the 5th – 10th August 2010. The four teams that will be taking part are FCR 2001 Duisburg from Germany, Glasgow City from Scotland, ŠK Slovan Bratislava from Slovakia and Crusaders Newtownabbey Strikers from Northern Ireland.

The “Mill Meadow” will kick off the first round of matches on Thursday 5th August 2010 with FCR 2001 Duisburg playing ŠK Slovan Bratislava at 16:00. The second game will see Glasgow City play Crusaders Newtownabbey Strikers at 19:30.

Moyola Park Chairman Raymond Loughrey said: “This will be a great occasion for the club hosting these very prestigious games and it is great opportunity for the local community to come and see International players playing in Castledawson.
